Bio: Kate Taucher

Kate Taucher, PharmD, MHA, BCOP, FAPO, UCHealth

Kate Taucher, PharmD, MHA, BCOP, FAPO, is a System Manager for Oncology and Infusion Pharmacy Services with UCHealth. She is the current PGY2 Oncology Residency Program Director and past PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program Director for UCHealth Memorial Hospital.

She graduated from Virginia Tech in 2007 and went on to complete her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy in 2011. She then completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency and PGY2 Oncology Residency, both at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Finally, she completed her Master’s in Health Care Administration with a specialization in Health Care Leadership through Capella University in 2017.

She has been involved at the national level with a number of professional organizations on various committees and positions over the year. Within the American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP), she is currently a Residency Accreditation Guest Surveyor and member of the Emerging Sciences Advisory Group. Through the Hematology Oncology Pharmacist Association (HOPA), she is currently a member of the Leadership Development Subcommittee. She served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Advanced Practitioner Society for Hematology and Oncology (APSHO) for 5 years, participating on the Education Committee and the JADPRO Live Planning Committee. Lastly, she is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and member of the QOPI Steering committee. At the local level, she is currently the Treasurer for and has been involved with the Colorado Pharmacist Society Board of Directors.
