APSHO Recognized as National Stakeholder in President’s Cancer Panel Report

The Advanced Practitioner Society for Hematology and Oncology (APSHO) has been formally acknowledged as a national stakeholder and was honored to contribute its perspective on the future of the cancer workforce to the President’s Cancer Panel.

Strengthening the hematology/oncology workforce remains essential to ensuring that every patient has access to timely, high‑quality cancer care. APSHO’s involvement reflects its ongoing commitment to supporting advanced practitioners and enhancing the delivery of oncology services nationwide.

In its 2026 report, the President’s Cancer Panel underscored the urgent need for greater collaboration, expanded educational pathways, and improved support systems across all cancer care teams. The report highlighted APSHO’s role in advancing postgraduate oncology education—an essential component in addressing current workforce gaps and preparing clinicians for the evolving needs of patients.
