Kathryn Slane, MSN, AGPCNP-BC, AOCNP®, is an advanced oncology certified nurse practitioner in medical oncology, specializing in head & neck (HN) cancer, thyroid cancer, and genitourinary (GU) cancers. She serves as the disease
lead APP for the outpatient group covering HN/GU/sarcoma.
Kathryn has worked as an NP in oncology for 9 years. She obtained her AOCNP® certification in 2018. She earned her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science from Marysville
University in St. Louis, Missouri. Her experience also includes research as a sub-investigator in several solid tumor types as well as phase 1/developmental therapeutics. She has participated in various facets with professional
organizations such as Journal of the Advanced Practitioner in Oncology/Advanced Practitioner Society for Hematology and Oncology, Oncology Nursing Society, and National Comprehensive Cancer Network.
Outside of her professional
life, Kathryn is a mother of two children, a 6-year-old girl and a 3-year-old boy, and has been married to her husband for nearly 10 years.
