Lisa Hwa Christenson, APRN, DNP, CNP, FAPO, Mayo ClinicSecretaryLisa Hwa Christenson, APRN, DNP, CNP, FAPO, received her doctorate education from the University of Minnesota. She is an Assistant Professor and holds an Associate Appointment at Mayo Clinic, College of Medicine. She has presented multiple research findings at national and international conventions including the American Society of Hematology (ASH) annual convention. Through ASH she has been selected twice, among thousands of worldwide scholars, by the International Myeloma Foundation (IMF) to film a web-based interview to present her research data. She has authored and co-authored over 70 peer-reviewed articles including many first-authorship publications in the top hematology-focused journals including Blood, Leukemia, and American Journal of Hematology. She has several publications in the Journal of the Advanced Practitioner in Oncology (JADPRO) and has been actively engaged in the Advanced Practitioner Society for Hematology and Oncology (APSHO), serving on the Communications Committee and the Awards & Recognition Committee. She has a passion in professional education. As the program director of the Mayo Clinic NP/PA Hematology Fellowship, she has done extensive work in the entire process of program development, from conducting the proposal and budget projection, to designing a comprehensive curriculum, and engaging in recruitment strategies. She has been accepted to join the ASH membership and alumni of the ASH Medical Educators Institute (MEI) as the first non-physician clinician and educator. She was invited to join the 2020 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) eLearning Question Writing Workgroup. |
