Cancer is a national leading nonprofit providing free supports to individuals impacted by cancer. CancerCare provides support to patients, caregivers, and bereaved individuals. CancerCare supports include limited financial and copayment assistance, psychosocial supports, practical information, resource navigation services, educational workshops, community programming, and publications. CancerCare hosts a podcast titled, Cancer Out Loud, which features conversations with people living with cancer, caregivers, survivors, loved ones and the bereaved. CancerCare’s A Helping Hand: Resources for People with Cancer, is a resource database created to help connect people affected by cancer with much needed resources. CancerCare’s Coping Circle Workshops are virtual educational and supportive workshops led by oncology social workers and qualified co-facilitators. For anyone interested in CancerCare services, CancerCare has a toll free helpline or “HOPEline”: 800-813-HOPE (4673), where one can call in to speak to a trained hopeline staff member who can assist in connecting to available services or sharing information. Many of CancerCare’s services are offered in both English and Spanish languages. Learn more at www.cancercare.org.

The Cancer Network works to improve the lives of LGBTQI+ cancer survivors and those at risk. The organization educates LGBTQI+ communities about cancer risks, screening, and early detection; trains healthcare professionals to provide affirming, culturally competent care; and advocates for inclusion across cancer research, media, and public health systems. The Cancer Network also works to reduce tobacco use in LGBTQI+ communities through smoking cessation initiatives and partnerships addressing the higher rates of tobacco-related cancers.

Through national trainings and community collaborations, the Cancer Network helps ensure that LGBTQI+ individuals—especially those most marginalized—receive safe, equitable, and respectful care throughout their cancer journey. Learn more at cancer-network.org.
