Amanda Barton, ConexiantEx-OfficioAmanda first gained her passion for events while taking an internship with the Austin Museum of Art events department after graduating from Baylor University. She stayed on as a committee member after her internship concluded and helped plan and execute La Dolce Vita, the museum’s biggest fundraiser. She continued her event career working for the Austin Chamber of Commerce as their Director of Member Programs and Special Events and later moved to Hanley Wood, now Informa, a company that owned and managed 17 tradeshows at the time. She started as an Operations Manager and worked up to Show Manager before she left after almost 10 years with the company. In this role she worked with all departments including exhibits, conferences, committees, registration, and marketing but her main focus was logistics and operations. Amanda left Hanley Wood to start a career with Experient, which was later bought by Maritz Global Events. In her 10 year tenure with Maritz Global Events she was a Project Manager and later an Account Executive where she worked strictly with Associations. Her clients ranged from Radiological Society of North America to National Association of Music Merchants. She began work with Digitell as an Account Executive in September of 2020 and worked strictly with Associations mostly in the medical space. Her passion for events and project management encouraged her to interview for the position of Director, Project Management and she was promoted to VP, Project Management and most recently VP, Platform Implementation. |
