The Advanced Practitioner Society of Hematology and Oncology (APSHO) is steadfast in its commitment to fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for all patients, recognizing and respecting the diverse backgrounds, identities, and experiences they bring. We acknowledge that, historically, certain populations have faced barriers to equitable healthcare access, and we are dedicated to addressing these challenges through thoughtful and inclusive practices.
As advanced practitioners - including nurse practitioners, physician assistants, clinical nurse specialists, advanced degree nurses, and pharmacists - we are committed to delivering care that addresses the distinct needs of every patient. Through comprehensive education, interdisciplinary collaboration, advocacy, and professional development, we aim to equip advanced practitioners with the necessary skills to offer personalized and compassionate care for all individuals.
APSHO strives to empower advanced practitioners to deliver high-quality, patient-centered oncology care by promoting an interdisciplinary, team-based approach that ensures optimal treatment outcomes, quality of life, and survivorship for all patients. We remain fully dedicated to advancing inclusivity, fostering diversity, and ensuring equitable care at every level of our organization and in every aspect of patient care. We invite all advanced practitioners to join us in shaping the future of cancer care through this shared commitment.
